Adult Fun and Fellowship Trip


 

The Adult Fun and Fellowship Heritage Tour of England and Scotland  May 7 - 21, 2003,
visited the Castle in Edinburgh, a royal residence since the 11th  century.
 

 
Eileen Mitchell, our most capable and loved Tour Director from
London, England.   She was also our Tour Director in 2000
when we toured Germany, Austria, & Switzerland
and attended the Passion Play in
Oberammergau, Germany.


Leslie Schreiber enjoys our visit
to the Roman Baths in Bath,
England where the water stays at 116 degrees F.
The Baths were built by the Romans in the 1st century.

   
 

Waiting for the boat to take us for a ride
in the Lake District of England.

 
Our personal guide has everyone's attention
in the Monastery on the windswept Isle of Iona
that was established 1400 years ago by St. Columba.

   
 
Jack Reed and John Henry are overwhelmed with the beauty of the 16th century Castle Great Hall in Edinburgh, Scotland.

 
Anne Montgomery, Al King, and Leslie Schreiber
participate in the fellowship of
the evening of special Scottish Folkloric entertainment
at Prestonfield House in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Al celebrated his birthday on May 19.

 
George Grosser was selected to participate in the entertainment at Prestonfield House in Edinburgh, Scotland.  From the applause everyone seems to approve of his dancing.
 
 
Our visit to York Minster, the largest Cathedral
in England, was the highlight of the day
where worship has been
offered for over 1000 years.
The Great East Window

Dinner Banquet in the Old Place at Hatfield House built about 1480.
 
John Poteat is honored by the Queen
before the evening was over at Hatfield House
to the level of Sir John.  He received
the garter of the occasion personally
from the Princess and a certificate to verify the event.
