Welcome to the virtual home of Presbyterian Youth Connection!
PYC is a place for all 6th-12th
graders to connect to the Church, the world around them, and each
other. PYC is built on the five intentions of youth ministry set forth
by the PC(USA).
-
To call young people to be disciples of Jesus Christ.
-
To respond to the needs and the interests of young people.
-
To work together, youth and adults, in partnership.
-
To be connected to the whole church, community, and the world.
-
To include all young people, reaching out and inviting them to belong to the community of faith.
PYC meets every Sunday from 6-8 p.m. in the UPC Youth Center (unless otherwise noted on the calendar of events). Youth should bring $4 for dinner prepared lovingly each week by our PYC parents.
How to get connected to PYC
-
Email Kim McNeill, Staff Associate for Youth and Congregational Life, ,
-
or call her at church at 919-929-2102.
-
Check this website often. Schedule changes will be listed here as soon as possible.
-
Attend PYC on Sundays from 6-8 p.m. in the Youth Center!
Parents: make sure you are receiving the weekly PYC email updates from Kim. If not, email her to be added to the list. This will keep you in the know about our weekly schedule and announcements, especially last minute ones that don't make it to the website.
Youth: friend Kim McNeill on facebook (www.facebook.com/goheelsgo) and then receive an invitation to join the PYC facebook group. It's a closed group so you do have to friend Kim to join. It's a great way to receive messages and updates about PYC each week to keep you in the know.
