It is the policy of University Presbyterian Church to hold Sunday worship services at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. without exception. However, we urge all persons to use prudence in deciding whether they can safely travel to services. No person should feel an obligation to travel to worship or church school if weather conditions make walking or driving dangerous. This counsel includes church school teachers, ushers, choir members, and any others involved in church activities.
Church school and meetings other than worship services may be cancelled if weather conditions become unfavorable. Chairs of committees should communicate with committee members if meetings are cancelled or postponed.
The church office may close when weather conditions present a danger for travel. Messages on the church answering machine and website will provide information about office closings and other cancellations.
