I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the peoples;

I will sing praises to you among the nations.

 - Psalm 57:9

Choir

The following is a representation of the active repertoire offered on Sunday mornings during the academic season by the Chancel (Adult) Choir at University Church.  With music from the pens of some of the greatest composers coupled with texts full of scripture and fine poetry that is solid, sophisticated and never trivial, the result is a compilation of much of the best church music from the repertoire of centuries of Christian praying and singing.

We strive to offer our best to God in the work of worship through our ‘psalms and spiritual songs’ each week, and we will continue to increase our repertoire.  In the words of F. Pratt Green:

And did  not Jesus sing a psalm that night

when utmost evil strove against the Light?

Then let us sing, for whom he won the fight, Alleluia!
